Alarm Receiver Interface
The Pacom solution enables alarms originating from third party alarm panels to be received and monitored from the GMS software. This allows customers to use Pacom's technology to manage Pacom's own devices and also cost effectively integrate existing dialup alarm receivers such as SurGard and Radionics.
Alarms originating from existing intrusion panels are processed in exactly the same way as Pacom alarms. That is, icons will dynamically change to indicate the real-time status, operator instructions will appear when an alarm occurs and so on. The only difference is that commands (such as isolate) cannot be sent to the third party panel.
Any number of dialup alarm receivers can be integrated with Pacom's Graphical management System (GMS). Data is communicated from the digital receiver to the GMS Server(s) via RS232 communications in Contact ID or SIA format.
